The world's oldest man, 113-year-old World War I vet Henry Allingham, passed away yesterday. However i was reading about him on my daily news website (perez hilton) and i absolutely LOVE his reasoning on his long life. According to Perez, "Allingham chalked up his long life to 'cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women' and sources close to the war veteran said he 'possessed a great spirit of fun.'"

We all should listen to this dude!

last weekend festivites

last weekend was alatt's grad party. the folks from minnesota and florida came up for the festivites and it was basically 3 days of dancing, doing the ymca, making the important men in alyssa's life dress up in weird costumes, boating, floatings, swimming, drinking, and just having a good time. i loved the perfect weather and fantastic friends... plus the obscene amount of pictures takes ;)

redecorating!

went on a target shopping spree to start re-doing le room. my room is the boring room. i just never got a round to decorating it and instead chose to just plaster the walls with posters i have had since i was a freshman and magzine clippings (i love thembut they do nothing for the decor). so i found a gorgeous blue to paint two walls in my room, i believe the shade is called montego bay, whatever that means. also found some faboosh things in my favorite store target to spruce up the walls instrad of my trashy posters.

basically i am so excited about decorating but i have to orgainze all my crap first! so this could take a while.

still trying to find a way to the roof. a constructed a ladder-esque thing however it falls about a foot short. i have discovered a ladder in the basement alas its to large to carry up the windy staircase. i feel as though given a couple more days i will be lounging on the roof.
